- January 19, 2005 --- Fund for
Democracy
UUARC would like to inform the
generous contributors to the Fund for
Democracy, that, in its brief existence, the
Fund enabled us to collect $502,776 and
forward $473,700 to Ukraine for direct
support of the peaceful protesters on the
Maidan and election observers on December
26th, the final Election Day. The Orange
Revolution pulled at our heart strings and
we answered by opening our wallets. Huge
quantities of sleeping bags, blankets,
sweaters, socks, boots, warm underwear and
cold remedies were provided for the stalwart
defenders of the right of democracy. Funds
were also earmarked to support the
international election observers who assured
the transparency of the election, and
defended the democratic process. Donations
continue to come in, which, along with the
balance in the Fund at the end of December,
will be forwarded to maintain and nurture
democracy in Ukraine, as needed.

--- Your Legacy Can Live Through Your
Will and Testament
As we grow older we begin to reflect on our
lives and take stock of our achievements.
Many of us have successfully raised our
children, provided them with a future,
perhaps it is time to consider how we wish
to be remembered. Even those of us who need
to retain our nest-egg to live on, can make
arrangements for the time we no longer need
it. Most of us wish to be remembered for
having done something generous and kind,
that truly benefits mankind. Click

through UUARC.
