ІНВАЛІДНІ ВІЗКИ ДЛЯ УКРАЇНИ!!!          Wheelchairs for Ukraine

Починаючи в 2005 році, Wheelchair Foundation і Злучений Український Американський Допомоговий Комітет (ЗУАДК) співпрацюють щоби придбати інвалідні візки потребуючим в Україні.  Wheelchair Foundation доставили 3 контейнери (по 280 візків—разом 840) легких, зручних інвалідних візків, які приходять у 6-тьох розмірах, як для дорослих так і для дітей, а ЗУАДК зайнявся розподілом їх по Україні.  Пані Катерина Ющенко і Пані Либбі Патакі, жінка ґубернатора Ню Йорку, особисто взяли участь, із президентом ЗУАДК-у д-р Ларисою Кий, в урочистій церемонії в Києві.  Кошт одного візка $100, а роздача $25, такщо дар $125 покриє можливість одному інвалідові в Україні стати самостійним!

Within the  past two years UUARC has been the Ukraine distribution partner of the Wheelchair Foundation.  This was a huge effort, involving both the Kyiv and Lviv offices and the staff at Headquarters, but, finally, 840 light, maneuverable, collapsible wheelchairs have been distributed throughout Ukraine. 

The ceremonial introduction of this project was personally attended by Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko, Ukraine’s First Lady,  Mrs. Libby Pataki, the First Lady of the State of New York,  and Dr. Larissa Kyj of President of UUARC.  The cost of one wheelchair is $100 and the cost of distribution averages out to be $25 per chair, thus $125 covers the entire cost of donating one wheelchair to an invalid, making it possible for them to be mobile and self-sufficient.
