Uniting for Ukraine
A program that let Ukrainians outside the United States, and their immediate family members, come to the U.S. for a temporary period of parole. Each person needed a supporter in the U.S. who agreed to provide financial support. USCIS stopped accepting new applications in January 2025 and, at our last review, had not resumed. People already here on parole may be able to request re-parole, which USCIS decides case by case.
Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
Ukraine’s TPS designation was set to end on October 19, 2026. On that date USCIS said an announcement would be made at the appropriate time, and that Ukrainians with TPS keep their protection, including work authorization, until then. Watch USCIS for the final decision before you file anything.
